I shot this from The roof of the power plant I used to work at in Manhattan. A friend of mine in the plant and I got talking one day while we were up on the roof. It was one of those days where the air was just crystal clear, there was no wind, it seemed like every color in the view just stood out like crazy. You could here everything crystal clear. My buddy looked at and said “Alec I wish I had a picture of this to remind of the tranquility that can be here on days that there is no such thing as tranquility”. So I went down to my shop and grabbed my camera,went back up to the roof and took this shot. I didnt tell my friend that I did so, spent some time doing a little editing and on his birthday walked into his office and handed him a 24 x36 print of the pic.. .
