His subject matter includes landscapes, botanical, male and female nudes, surrealist studies and more. Old school in method (he describes himself as a primitive) Wright is a hand in the face of today’s digital manipulations… instead creating his images and effects in real time before his camera rather than on a computer screen. His photographs are not created digitally and are not digitally altered… as in the pictures and effects are not made in digital software programs (Photoshop, etc.)…they are created at the time of the actual shoot as the shutter is tripped. His surrealist studies are accomplished with fine fabrics, liquid and precisely controlled light. Set-ups and formula’s for his surrealist work can take up to 2 full days to affect before the shutter button is touched.
