Photographing since childhood, Kelly William Wright has been a full time professional fine art photographer for most of his adult life. While creating work in a diverse range of styles and subject matter, he is known to many for his intimate wine themed compositions featuring the finest marquee label wines from around the world. He began the wine series in 2004 and it continues today with an ever growing collector base. Many of his limited edition works from earlier years are completely sold out and no longer available. Always on the leading edge of fine print technology, Wright used cibachrome and silver gelatin processes until the mid 1990’s when he was one of the first fine art photographers to embrace Fuji Crystal Archive paper/printing (wet chemical process using a computerized light jet). Relentlessly pursuing print perfection, he used the Fuji process for his fine art prints until 2005 when technological advances in digital printing inks, print technology and papers exceeded both the archival and visual aesthetics of the traditional silver halide print. The paper/ink combination in this fine art print yields a richly detailed image which is unrivaled by other processes – its archival properties are greater than that of silver halide prints and will last for generations without perceptible change. It is printed in using the finest Ultrachrome archival pigment inks and Ultra Premium RC Luster Finish photography paper.
